Set acceptance requirements before production

Waiting until an order is finished to define acceptable quality creates avoidable disagreement. Confirm the approved sample and specification version, how key dimensions will be measured, and the requirements for appearance, decoration and packing before production.

First check that the styles, colors, sizes and quantities correspond to the order. Then review dimensions and appearance. Agree the sampling approach and acceptance criteria in advance; a small sample without findings does not establish that every garment is free of defects.

Focus on wearing and selling requirements

Use a consistent measurement method. Different measuring positions or amounts of tension can produce different results. Appearance checks may include visible stains, damage, seam issues, asymmetry and departures from the approved reference.

For print or embroidery, confirm the artwork version, color, dimensions and placement. Check components such as zippers and buttons in use. Performance tests answer different questions from visual inspection; review the relevant results when the order includes specific test requirements.

Include packing in the inspection plan

Incorrect labels, size identification, bagging, carton quantities or shipping marks can disrupt receiving and distribution. Write these requirements down, particularly for orders containing several colors and sizes.

Record findings by style, location, quantity and photograph, then follow the agreed resolution process. Clear evidence helps determine whether an issue is isolated or needs broader checking. It also gives any rework and follow-up inspection a specific target.
