Plan your custom clothing order with our step-by-step process and answers to common buyer questions.

A clear path to your order.

01

Choose a style

Browse products, note the style code and tell us your quantity by size and color.

02

Review the quotation

Confirm garment price, decoration, packing, MOQ, shipping scope and quote validity.

03

Approve the sample

Agree sample cost and timing, then review fabric, color, fit and decoration.

04

Confirm the order

Verify seller and payment details. Agree the specification, terms and production trigger in writing.

05

Production & inspection

Confirm the approved specification, inspection arrangements and ready-to-ship date.

06

Arrange delivery

Confirm packing, shipping documents, forwarder and destination responsibilities.

01 / BUILD A USEFUL BRIEF

Start with the garment, then define the details.

A clear reference saves time. Choose a catalog style code or share front, back and detail photographs of your own concept. Explain who will wear it, the intended fit and the season. A T-shirt for a retail collection may need a different weight and silhouette from a team uniform.

  • Garment: style code, reference images, fabric composition and target weight if known.
  • Fit: base sample size, measurement chart and the points that matter most.
  • Branding: artwork, finished dimensions, position and preferred decoration.
  • Order: quantities by size and color, destination and required delivery window.

Unsure about a specification? Mark it “to discuss” rather than guessing. A physical reference can help explain hand feel, drape and construction.

02 / COMPARE THE SAME SCOPE

Understand what your quotation includes.

Compare quotations against one written specification. Similar-looking garments can differ in fabric, construction, decoration, labels and packaging. Ask which items are included in the garment price and which are separate.

  • Confirm quantity requirements for each style and color, not only the total order.
  • Separate sample, artwork setup, garment, decoration, packing and freight costs.
  • Confirm currency, quote validity, payment stages and the event that starts production.
  • Record the proposed sample schedule, production window and delivery scope.

If the price needs to change, agree which specification changes make that possible. Keep the revised quotation and specification together so the sample is judged against the correct version.

How to compare clothing quotations

03 / APPROVE WITH CONFIDENCE

Review the sample as a complete garment.

Start with measurements and fit, then examine fabric, seams, color and decoration. Compare against the agreed reference under consistent lighting. Where relevant, review appearance and measurements after the agreed washing and drying procedure.

Measure using the same method as the specification. For a chest measurement, for example, agree where the garment is laid flat and measured. Record the actual result beside the target rather than simply saying it is too large or too small.

  • Check collar shape, sleeve length, body length and overall proportions.
  • Review logo scale, placement, colors and the feel of the decorated area.
  • Check label wording, size information and packaging requirements.
  • Send one consolidated feedback document with marked photographs and numbered changes.

Keep a dated, approved reference and final specification. A revised sample should clearly state which feedback it addresses. Approve the size range and color breakdown before bulk production begins.

Use the sample approval checklist

04 / KEEP PRODUCTION ALIGNED

Agree the checkpoints before bulk production.

Define what will be checked, when it will be checked and how results will be recorded. The approved sample, measurement tolerances and written construction details should describe the same garment.

For your order, discuss checks for appearance, measurements, stitching, decoration, labels and quantities. If laboratory tests or third-party inspection are required, agree the applicable methods, acceptance criteria, cost and timing before production.

Photos help communicate progress, but they do not replace agreed inspection or testing. When a change is requested after approval, confirm the effect on cost and schedule in writing. Keep a clear version number on every updated specification.

05 / PREPARE FOR HANDOVER

Plan packing and delivery as part of the order.

Tell us how garments should be packed: individually or in an agreed assortment, with the required size stickers, hangtags and carton markings. Confirm quantities by style, color and size so the packing list can be checked against the order.

  • Confirm the receiving address, contact and preferred freight arrangement.
  • Agree who arranges transport and which charges are included.
  • Review carton quantities, shipment measurements and weights when available.
  • Confirm the shipping documents and destination responsibilities with the relevant parties.

Separate the production completion date from the arrival date. Freight transit, customs processing and final delivery can affect the schedule. After receipt, compare the shipment with the packing list and report any discrepancy with style codes, quantities and clear photographs.

Your first inquiry checklist.

Copy these points into your message to help us review the project:

  • Style code or reference design, intended use and preferred fit.
  • Target fabric, color references and quantity for each size and color.
  • Artwork files, decoration positions and finished dimensions.
  • Label, hangtag and packing requirements.
  • Sample requirements, destination and target delivery window.
  • Any testing, inspection or documentation requirements.

It is fine to begin with an incomplete brief. Tell us which decisions are still open so we can focus the discussion.
